The page opens by stating that Tehran has five treatment plants in operation and then gives, for each, the consultant, the designer and contractor, the year of entry into service and the design capacity. Decimal figures on that page are stored with the digit groups reversed, so the design capacities printed as 7/2 and 5/7 cubic metres per second are 2.7 and 7.5, and the Telo tunnel printed as 7/2 metres is 2.7 metres. The reversal is confirmed by the raw water channel dimensions on the same page, printed as 26/38 metres long, 6-5/9 metres wide and 4-8/6 metres deep, which only read sensibly as 38.26 m, 9.5 to 6 m and 6.8 to 4 m. Raw water arrives from the Latyan dam through the Telo tunnel, about 10 km long and 2.7 m in diameter, and the two Tehranpars plants supply eastern Tehran and parts of the north, centre and south.
