Phase 1 inaugurated by President Rouhani: desalination at Bandar Abbas, 305 km of pipeline, seven pumping stations and 150 km of power lines supplying Kerman province, investment 163 trillion rials (about US$3.88 billion)

President Rouhani launches phases 2 and 3: a 1,550 km line to Kerman, South Khorasan and Khorasan Razavi (470 trillion rials) and a 910 km line to Yazd and Isfahan (350 trillion rials), both targeted for completion in Iranian year 1404 (from March 2025)
