At Nuaija in south Doha, contract of QR 691.2 million to the Larsen and Toubro with Gulfar consortium from 27 June 2010, consultant KEO International Consultants, completion targeted for the first quarter of 2016. The page carries two capacity statements: this phase raises daily throughput from 106,000 to 180,000 m3/day, while overall treatment capacity rises from 110,000 to 241,000 m3/day. The Al Wakrah and Al Wukair sewage treatment works, signed as a public-private partnership in September 2022 with a consortium led by Metito Utilities, is a separate project and is not tracked here. The contract value covers the expansion works, not the whole plant, so it is not entered as capital cost.
