The Grand Agadir M'zar plant treats about 30,000 m3/day from a resource of 12 million m3 a year, equal to 25 per cent of Greater Agadir's drinking water use; primary, secondary and tertiary treatment remove 99 per cent of organic load, 98 per cent of chemical oxygen demand and 6 log of faecal coliforms, meeting WHO category A for unrestricted irrigation; 1,028 ha are to be irrigated including 492 ha of golf; the Golf de l'Ocean was first in 2010, Les Dunes and Le Soleil followed in 2018; the reuse network rests on a May 2018 financing convention between the Ministere de l'Interieur, the Secretariat d'Etat charge de l'Eau and RAMSA, with Inezgane the first commune connected in 2019, then Agadir and Dcheira El Jihadia in 2020 and Ait Melloul in 2021.
