200,000 m3/day, 52.8 million gallons a day, with 260 PX-220 pressure exchangers saving about 21 MW; operation was then expected in the first half of 2010. Coordinates added on 20 September 2026, approximate. OpenStreetMap way 336010341, named in Arabic as the Souk Tlata plant and in French as Souk Tleta plant, is a fenced industrial polygon of about 7.4 hectares at 35.0702 -2.0013. An earlier pass rejected it as about 6 km inland; measured against the OpenStreetMap coastline the site is 0.28 km from the shore, which fits a seawater plant. Reverse geocoding returns Ouled Ben Ayad in the commune of Souk Tlata, daira of Bab El Assa, Tlemcen wilaya, the commune the plant is named for and the only large industrial site in it. The polygon is smaller than the 15 hectare site the Algerian Desalination Company records and the name is generic, so the pin rests on the name, the commune and the shoreline position rather than on a published coordinate.
